With its Astra and Fluo collections, Flaminia conquers the 2023 edition of the German Design Award, the major award sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and

Technology.

The Astra lines of wc bowls and bidet designed by Giulio Cappellini gets a place of honor among the Excellent Product Design award winners in the Bath&Wellness category. With its markedly contemporary shapes and monolithic volumes softened by lightly chamfered edges, Astra wins over the jury of the German Design Award: the simplicity of this project acquires an extraordinary quality through attention to detail.

In the same Bath&Wellness category, Fluo, the collection styled by Niccolò Adolini gained special mention at the design award. The organic shapes of this line of washbasins, wcs and bidets are exalted by surfaces that seem smoothed by water. Fluo’s light and bold lines give shape to generous volumes ending in refined, slender profiles, and its soft shapes without sharp edges reveal to best advantage the quality of the ceramic material.

Such recognitions provide yet another confirmation of Flaminia’s creative power and its dedication to research and innovation. With this approach, the brand has always explored and experimented with the potential of ceramics with the aim of transforming the perception of the bathroom environment and enhancing its aesthetic component.
